At this point in my career, I’d describe myself as a strategic sales leader with expertise in selling to enterprises (of all sizes), digital publishers, and the public sector. I’m also a strategic generalist who enjoys progressing important work and learning – every day.

I got into sales when I realized I loved talking to folks about solving their problems and getting them to the right place. I’ve also been lucky to work for excellent, mission-driven organizations.

My colleagues tell me I bring political savvy, technical acumen, and strategic thinking to my work. I’m also known for my inclusive leadership style, ability to navigate complex negotiations, and commitment to developing talent.

I most recently served as a Senior Director for Strategic Accounts at WordPress VIP, where I led complex enterprise deals. Throughout my tenure at VIP, I also was a top-performing Account Executive and a sales leader for the Enterprise sales team. My work, both as an individual contributor and as a lead, secured transformative partnerships with major public and private sector organizations (some of the logos on VIP’s homepage and many others). I loved working cross-functionally with the different parts of our fully-distributed team.

Before joining WordPress VIP, I did a mixture of digital strategy and business development across influential media and nonprofit organizations. I relaunched Kauffman FastTrac as a digital course while a Senior Program Officer at the Kauffman Foundation. At PBS NewsHour, I drove multi-million dollar underwriting commitments and led modernization initiatives. At The Pew Charitable Trusts, I helped programs with digital strategy. At The Atlantic, I lead live event programming and managed theatlantic.com during a period of rapid growth. The Atlantic was where I learned, early in my careers, that I had the power to speak to all manner of people inside an organization to get stuff done.

I am a Marshall Memorial Fellow and Dartmouth College graduate.

I am married to an amazing woman, and we’re lucky to have two amazing children. We live in Prairie Village, Kansas in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
